North Carolina-Duke was our No. 1 men’s college basketball rivalry, but what about yours? Grant Halverson / Getty Images
There’s nothing like the atmosphere of a heated college basketball rivalry game.
Whether it’s the age-old rivalry of North Carolina-Duke — as we’ll see this Saturday — or a feud that has developed more in recent decades, like Gonzaga-Saint Mary’s, rivalry games showcase the best of the sport. And while conference realignment has taken away some games that used to be appointment viewing (Syracuse-Georgetown, Duke-Maryland), new rivalries are finding their footing.
The Athletic’s Scott Dochterman ranked the top 50 rivalries in men’s college basketball, taking both history and the present day into account. Now we want yours. In the survey below, rank your No. 1 men’s college basketball rivalry, as well as your top 10, and share your favorite rivalry memories as the sport gears up for another March.
We’ll share the results at the end of this week.
