What grade would you give Chris Getz for this offseason?

While shopping in the discount bins and having just one established-player chip to cash in this offseason, GM Chris Getz was busy.

He further gutted his outfield by shipping off Luis Robert Jr. to New York for salary relief Luisangel Acuña, bringing switch-hitting defensive flexibility to the roster. Getz also added some pitching from the usual sources (overseas, Triple-A, Rule 5). And don’t forget a nugget from the Rick Hahn Era: The one big spending item came in the form of a big contract for a reliever.

But mostly, he’s counting on the inertia of the youth core to improve in their sophomore seasons, primarily Colson Montgomery, Chase Meidroth, Edgar Quero, Kyle Teel. No pressure, guys.

Put aside the praise Getz received for maneuvering Robert into Seranthony Domínguez, Austin Hays and a bag of baseballs, because a) it’s not how a major league team should behave and b) if a major league team behaves this way, such maneuverings are exactly what the GM is supposed to do.

But with the dust settled and “money spent,” what grade do you give Chris Getz for his offseason?
