I autocross a street class civic. I like the back loose so I only run fresh tires on the front. Two of these will get heat cycled on Monday, the next warm and dry day. The other two will get partly deflated, wrapped in plastic shrink wrap, then bagged in contractor bags to spend the next few months on the tire rack. 
Did the X1 make it’s numbers intime to avoid the ban-hammer?

Reading this, the Vitour P1 X-01R honestly comes off as the smart money choice.
The A052 is fast but picky, heat-sensitive, and burns money. The RE-71RZ is fast, but the tradeoffs are real. The super-stiff sidewalls make the ride harsh and mounting a pain. It tends to get edgy before the tread is fully used, and you’re paying a premium for it.
The X-01R splits the difference: quick to turn on like the A052, tolerant of narrow wheels and low camber like the Bridgestone, and more livable day-to-day.
You give up a bit in the wet, but in return you get front-running pace, easier setup, and better cost per run.
Fun fact: the “X” in X-01R comes from AutoX
Fun fact #2: Vitour’s compounds lean more toward high-grade carbon black than silica, which biases them toward better heat tolerance, dry-grip performance and wear, rather than maximizing wet grip.

I fully support anyone promoting their brand, but as people use these types of tests to sort through their choices you should probably disclose that you may have some bias here.

That’s fair and you’re right to point it out.
Yes, I’m involved with Vitour, so obviously I’m not a third party. That said, I’m also a racer and a customer of this category long before I was involved with the brand, and I’m pretty open about the tradeoffs here including where the X-01R gives up ground (like in the wet).
People should absolutely read multiple tests, look at data, and decide what fits their use case and budget best. My goal here isn’t to pretend I’m unbiased, it’s to share perspective from actually running these tires and working in this space, and let people weigh that accordingly.
