A top star competing in both WWE and AAA is headed for surgery.
According to a report from Fightful Select, Santos Escobar competed at AAA Rey de Reyes while dealing with an injury that worsened during the match. It has since been confirmed that Escobar suffered a torn tricep and is scheduled to undergo surgery this Thursday.
The issue dates back to the NXT house show tour over Royal Rumble weekend, where Escobar was working with Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr.. At the time, the injury was not believed to be a tear.
