Janel Grant never directly named the WWE storyline she believes paralleled her real-life allegations — but now, an update is shedding light on what angle observers believe she was alluding to.
Grant recently claimed that viewers and reporters noticed similarities between her situation and a storyline that aired on WWE television during the summer of 2024. While she stopped short of identifying the angle herself, the update now circulating points to the Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan storyline as the one in question.
That particular storyline featured Dominik receiving messages from Liv Morgan that suggested — and later showed — explicit photos being shared. Viewers drew comparisons to allegations in Grant’s lawsuit that Vince McMahon showed explicit photos of her to others within WWE. Grant previously described the perceived overlap this way:
“And in the summer of 2024, reporters and viewers noticed there were parallels between a storyline that unfolded for several months on television and my situation.”
She then questioned what that could imply about WWE’s leadership.
“So, does it look like we work in a safe environment when the destination point if you’re hurt is weaponized use of your experience on live TV every Monday night for months by their actions and by their reactions? That says a lot more about current leadership than it says about me.”
To be clear, Grant did not publicly confirm that the Dominik Mysterio–Liv Morgan angle was the storyline she meant. However, that is the storyline many viewers connected to her remarks based on the timing and subject matter.
