Yashasvi Jaiswal made his debut in Test cricket ag105-run knock against West Indies in Roseau in July 2023, where he shocked everyone with a knock of 171 runs. Similarly Indian legend Virender Sehwag had a start to his Test career with a 105-run knock against South Africa in Bloemfontein in 2001.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has appeared in 19 Test matches for India as of now. He has played in 36 innings and has scored 1798 runs at an average of 53.9. Jaiswal has made highest score of 214*, along with securing 4 centuries and 10 half centuries.

Virender Sehwag had appeared for India in 104 Test matches during his career. He played in 180 innings and scored 8586 runs at an average of 49.3. Sehwag has the highest score of 319, along with 23 centuries and 32 fifties.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has turned out to be the most productive batter for Indian team in the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle. He secured 1798 runs in 19 games.
On the other hand, Virender Sehwag had scored accumulated only 1392 runs in his first 19 Tests.

To this day, Yashasvi Jaiswal has led the Indian team to victory whenever he has scored a century. Hence, he has led his team to victory four times by scoring a century.
On the other hand, out of the five centuries by Sehwag in first 19 Tests, the team could only manage to secure a victory in one game, with two of the other games being a draw and other two being defeats.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has gathered 707 oversea runs in 17 innings at an average of 44.19, with two centuries and three half-centuries.
Meanwhile, Virender Sehwag had only scored 772 oversea runs in 21 innings at an average of 36.76, with three centuries and a single fifty.
