West Indies’ premier all-rounder Deandra Dottin emerged as the player with most sixes in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024. Dottin has smashed 9 Sixes in the tournament which was the highest number of sixes by any player in the current edition of the tournament. Her power-hitting abilities are crystal clear proof of why she has been a match-winner for the West Indies. Donning the maroon jersey in all five matches, the middle-order batter scored 120 runs at an average of 40.00. Aggressive and positive, she helped her team reach the semifinals.
Overall, she is the greatest bowler destroyer in the history of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup. She has 31 sixes under her belt in just 35 matches setting up her as the all-time leader in most sixes in the Women’s T20 World Cup. She surpasses other legends including Indian player Harmanpreet Kaur and New Zealand Sophie Devine, who are presently held in second place with 19 each.
The most sixes in the Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 have further established Dottin as one of the best power hitters in the sport. Her seemingly effortless hitting of the ball to the boundary would have made her a constant thorn in the side of opposing bowlers. However, Dottin’s six-hitting had endeared her to West Indies, who under her onslaught reached the semifinals where they had narrowly lost to New Zealand.

That would have well underlined the fact that this was definitely one team that needed to do much more to attain champion status and be on par with the great West Indies cricket team of yore. New Zealand kept their ticket to the final, winning by 8 runs. During the all-important clash, the 33-year-old gave all her best. She not only scored 33 runs but also bagged four wickets. The West Indies had Dottin’s heroics against their way out of the tournament in their innings.
