Who will get how much from BCCI price money ?

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) declared a large sum of Rs 125 crore as prize money for the Indian cricket team after they won the T20 World Cup 2024. The team received a check for this amount during a celebration event at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on July 6th. It is known that each of the 15 players on the winning team will receive Rs 5 crore from this prize money. This includes Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yuzvendra Chahal, and Sanju Samson, who did not play in any matches during the T20 World Cup 2024 for India.

Rahul Dravid, who finished his role as the head coach of the Indian national team, along with the other main coaches, will each receive Rs 2.5 crore. This group includes the batting coach, Vikram Rathour, the fielding coach, T Dilip, and the bowling coach, Paras Mhambrey. The five people on the senior selection committee, including the chairman, Ajit Agarkar, will each receive Rs 1 crore. The four backup players will also have Rs 1 crore deposited into their bank accounts.

How will the price money be distributed?

Among the players, Rinku Singh and Shubman Gill are some of the hitters, while Avesh Khan and Khaleel Ahmed are some of the pitchers who will also receive part of the prize money. The other support staff, such as three physiotherapists, three throwdown specialists, two masseurs, and the strength and conditioning coach, will each be given Rs 2 crore as a reward.

A total of 42 people made up the Indian group that went to the USA and the Caribbean islands for the World Cup. The team’s video analyst, BCCI staff members who traveled with the team, including media officers and the team’s logistics manager, will also be rewarded, according to the Indian Express.

“The BCCI has told the players and their helpers how much money they will get as a prize, and they want everyone to send in a bill,” said someone from the BCCI.

“The next day, after Rohit Sharma’s team won the T20 World Cup, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah shared the prize money details. “The Rs 125 crore will be shared among the players, their helpers, coaches, and those who pick the team. Everyone will get a share,” he explained.
