We’ve shortlisted the following four players, and here’s why:
- Mike Lee (Belfast Giants): From the blue line, Lee scored three goals and added seven assists in nine games during December. He was part of a Giants team that dropped just a single point over the festive period.
- Anton Karlsson (Fife Flyers): Karlsson was a joint top points scorer in December. He scored four goals and recorded 11 assists for 15 points in 10 games, as the Flyers ended their losing run and picked up several important wins.
- Mathieu Gosselin (Guildford Flames): Only one player scored more goals than Gosselin in December. His six goals, along with three assists, saw him record nine points in nine games during the month.
- Tim Doherty (Nottingham Panthers): Also a joint top points scorer in December, Doherty scored six goals and added nine assists for 15 points in 10 games.
