LA Knight may have advanced to the finals of WWE’s Last Time Is Now tournament, but according to one wrestling insider, fans hoping to see the Mega Star finally snag a world title might be waiting forever.
During a recent Self Made Session, the topic turned to LA Knight’s ongoing struggle to reach the top despite red-hot momentum. When asked why Knight still hasn’t been given a real world title shot, Self Made Pro didn’t sugarcoat it.
“They don’t like him like that. Yeah, they don’t like him like that.”
He pointed to Knight’s massive crowd reactions and strong merchandise sales—yet still no serious title run.
“You see a wrestler getting huge pops, moving tons of merch, and your question—and this is any company, right?—your question becomes: when are they going to get the ball? Why haven’t they been given the ball? It’s been years, they’ve been hot, so what’s going on?”
And the answer, according to Self Made Pro, comes down to simple refusal at the top.
“The answer is always that the booker just doesn’t want to give them the ball. They don’t care to give them the ball. They will never do it unless they are forced to.”
Looking ahead, the outlook isn’t great for Knight’s WrestleMania season, either. While there’s something lined up involving CM Punk, don’t expect it to come with any championship gold.
“Look, he’s going to do some stuff with Punk, but he’s obviously not going to win any of those. I mean, he’s not going to win the title from Punk. And then he’ll get scraps for WrestleMania. So it is what it is.”
This brutal breakdown comes after Knight defeated Jey Uso on RAW, advancing to the finals against GUNTHER. He spoke passionately on RAW Recap, taking shots at the doubters.
“If you look back to 2023, a lot of people wanted to count my demise a long time ago. They wanted to say, ‘Oh, this guy’s gonna be a flash in the pan. Oh, this guy’s gonna be flavor of the month.’ Huh? Here we go! Two, three years strong—still running. Nothing has changed.”
La Knight is still selling merch. Still getting monster crowd reactions and is still in the limelight. But if the booking doesn’t change soon, LA Knight might never get the championship run fans have been begging for.
Do you think WWE is holding LA Knight back on purpose? Should he get a world title run—or has the moment passed? Drop your take in the comments below.
