Will India stick with Sanju Samson for the 3rd T20i versus Bangladesh? India’s assistant-coach gives an update: Indian Cricket Team’s assistant-coach Ryan Ten Doeschate has given a huge update regarding Sanju Samson’s future in the T20 International side and he revealed that the 29-year-old will be getting another chance to impress in the third and final T20i match versus Bangladesh.

Under the leadership of Suryakumar Yadav, the Men in Blue have already secured an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20i-series and they will be looking to whitewash the Tigers by winning the third match as well.

After defeating the tourists by seven-wickets in the opening fixture, the home side went on to register a dominant 86-run victory to keep their unbeaten streak going in the series.

As the Suryakumar Yadav-led team eye a series whitewash, Team India’s assistant-coach Ryan Ten Doeschate has provided an update regarding out-of-form wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson’s chances of participating in the final match of the series.

Talking with the Indian media, the former Dutch All-Round reminisced on Sanju’s performance in the series, emphasising his tireless efforts to triumph with the bat.

“Looking back at the first two games, For Sanju, it would have been easy for him to bang the ball around the stadium and record a half-century if he had gotten off to a fast start in the first encounter in Gwalior. However, it’s evident that he’s attempting to push the envelope, and his messaging has been largely in line with that,” Assistant-Coach Ryan ten Doeschate said.

He also said that although the Men in Blue have clinched the series, the team-management wants to give Sanju another opportunity to cement his place in the side as a top-order-batsman.

“We make an effort to introduce as many guys as possible to global experiences. The initial goal was to win the series and then bring in some fresh-faces for the final fixture, but we want to give him (Samson) another shot of impressing, so there are possibilities,” Ten Doeschate added
