Will Ospreay In-Ring Return Revealed After Surgery Layoff

AEW has officially confirmed that Will Ospreay will return to in-ring action on the March 18, 2026 episode of Dynamite, marking his first match back since being sidelined following AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.

Ospreay is scheduled to face Blake Christian in what will be his first bout since undergoing neck surgery. He previously made his on-screen return at AEW Revolution, where he attacked Jon Moxley and the Death Riders, signaling that he was cleared and ready to get back into the mix.

This match now adds even more intrigue to an already stacked Dynamite card, as fans will get their first look at how Ospreay performs after his time away. Given his history of high-impact matches, all eyes will be on whether he’s able to pick up right where he left off.

The current lineup for AEW Dynamite on March 18 includes:

• No Holds Barred Match: Marina Shafir vs. Toni Storm
• Coffin Match: Gabe Kidd vs. Darby Allin
• Will Ospreay vs. Blake Christian

With Ospreay officially back in action and several stipulation matches already announced, AEW is loading up this episode with major moments from top to bottom.
