This Sunday, AEW Dynamite revs up as we head to AEW Revolution. Tonight, we have some gold on the line before we head to Los Angeles.
The TBS Champion and one-half of the AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions, Willow Nightingale, will defend her TBS Championship against the recently crowned CMLL World Women’s Champion, Persephone. Renee Paquette is with both of them backstage, and they both have much in common after both beating Mercedes Moné for their singles titles. They share some fighting words as they prepare for the title match tonight.
The two exchange a sign of respect, but Persephone shows her signs of strength as she picks up Nightingale and tosses her around with a Fallaway Slam.
Nightingale is in a bit of trouble, but finds her momentum back as she catches Persephone on the apron and follows up with a brutal Spinebuster on the floor.
Persephone eats multiple cannonballs, and Nightingale has found her fire back. Nightingale tries to go for a Moonsault, but Persephone picks her up as they both trade German Suplexes. Persephone goes for a Lionsault, but Nightingale kicks out at two as ten minutes have gone by.
Both head up to the top rope, and Persephone tries to land the Crucifix Bomb. The TBS Champion slithers through and lands a pin to retain her title.
Nightingale, along with her tag team partner, Harley Cameron, is riding on her adrenaline and decides to defend the tag titles against Megan Bayne and Lena Kross at AEW Revolution. She also puts up her TBS title against Kross on Zero Hour.
