Wilson launches Rush 5 Tour — New Tennis Shoe for Alex de Minaur, Kare
– Florida Tennis

Wilson today announces the launch of its newest men’s tennis shoe, the Rush 5 Tour™. Designed for the speed, physicality and relentless movement of the modern game, the Rush 5 Tour delivers explosive propulsion, uncompromising stability and tour-level durability. The revamped franchise is validated by extensive athlete testing and will be worn on court by Alex de Minaur, Karen Khachanov, Jiří Lehečka and more.

The Rush 5 Tour is Wilson’s most premium men’s tennis shoe, developed over two years through biomechanical analysis, advanced material research and continuous athlete playtesting. Every element was engineered to serve three core performance needs of the modern game— secure fit, explosive feel and controlled function at high speed:

Fit that holds when the game gets fast

  • Proven Rush last: Built on the proven Rush last, the Rush 5 Tour keeps the fit players trust, while refining containment for aggressive, lateral movement.
  • EndoFit internal midfoot support system: Wraps the foot from the inside, creating a secure and connected feel that reduces in-shoe movement and builds confidence when cutting, stopping, and pushing off at speed.
  • GammaWeave engineered mesh upper: Adds structure where the foot needs it most, locking the foot in place during lateral load while staying lightweight and breathable—support without bulk and hold without stiffness.

Explosive feel from the first point to last

  • Pebax® forefoot midsole: A Pebax® midsole in the forefoot delivers a lightweight, responsive ride with efficient energy return.
  • Inspired by elite running footwear and reimagined for tennis, it cushions and returns energy while keeping players connected to the court. The result is a fast, controlled feel that stays consistent through long matches and high-intensity rallies.

Function for every direction

  • Dual Axis Speed Carbon Frame: Inspired by Wilson’s racquet engineering and built with the learnings of Wilson’s FORTYFIVE° carbon racquet technology.
  • Designed to manage the torsional forces created by aggressive lateral movement, the midfoot “yoke” design provides stability and control where it matters most.
  • By reinforcing side-to-side motion while allowing natural flex through the forefoot, the system supports powerful push-offs without limiting front-to-back movement.

New, Premium Colorways

Built to stand out, the white, bay, fiery coral palette is the first of the year, with more drops expected at each grand slam.

“Our objective with the Rush 5 Tour was simple but ambitious,” says Tate Kuerbis, Senior Director of Footwear Design at Wilson. “We wanted to build a shoe that supports explosive movement in every direction while maintaining the control elite players expect. Tennis is faster and more physical than ever, and the footwear must keep up. That’s exactly what the Rush 5 Tour is built to do.”

Models, pricing, and availability

The Rush 5 comes in three models – Lite ($135), Pro ($170) and Tour ($210) – offering different options for multiple levels of play and preference, from beginner to professional and everything in-between.

The Rush 5 Collection will be available in-stores and online at Wilson.com starting Feb. 12. The Rush 5 joins Wilson’s growing premium tennis footwear assortment, including the Intrigue™ women’s tennis shoe which released last year.
