Yograj Singh, ex-cricketer and Yuvraj Singh’s dad, is well-known for his outrageous statements. And recently, his views on Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni spread like wild fire. “MS Dhoni? never will I forgive him. He should first look at himself in the mirror. He is a great cricketer but whatever he has done against my son is now being exposed; it can never be forgiven in this life again.” Yograj said on Switch YouTube channel. For more than ten years, Yuvraj had played alongside Dhoni under Indian flag and at one time was his deputy captain However; a bone of contention always arises that Dhoni was appointed captain in 2007 after Rahul Dravid though Yuvraj was also a vice-captain to Dravid.

In Yuvraj Singh’s cricketing career, Yograj Singh contributed significantly in making him what he is today through training him. He also coached Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun.

The same interviewer asked “Arjun Tendulkar came to you for training; how do you see his future?”

“Have you seen diamond in a coal mine? Woh Koyla hi hai..nikalo patthar hi hai, kisi tarashgir ke haath me dalo to chamak ke duniya ko kohinoor ban jata hai (It is coal that is rock when taken out from a mine, but if it is given in proper hands, it goes on to become Kohinoor. It is priceless . But when it is given to a person who does not recognize its worth, he destroys it instead. I do not want to say that Yograj Singh is a skilful craftsman; it is Yuvraj Singh who says so – ‘there is some magic in my dad’s hand that he has made me what I am.’ In those days I used to be called ‘Hitler’, ‘Dragon Singh’, ‘I hate my father.’ Everyone in my home hated me at that time. My relatives said that I should never have been born as his son,” Yograj Singh said.
