Sweden’s Truls Möregårdh is officially the best-ranked non-Chinese player in the world. After a clinical run to the semifinals (where he was narrowly stopped by Lin Yun-Ju), Truls has jumped 3 spots to a career-best World No. 2. Ryu Hanna & Kim Nayeong Take the Throne
A new era has begun in Women’s Doubles. Ryu Hanna and Kim Nayeong are the new World No. 1s (+1). Despite a quarterfinal exit in Singapore, their consistent dominance over the last year—including a title in Chennai earlier this season—allowed them to capitalize on the absence of the previous top seeds.
