Worldwide Golf Brands appoints Spike Golf Agency as regional sales agent : Golf Business Monitor

Worldwide Golf Brands has confirmed the appointment of Spike Golf Agency as its new Sales Agent across key regions in the South-East and Eastern England, strengthening its commercial presence and reinforcing its commitment to long-term brand development.

The newly formed Spike Golf Agency will represent Oscar Jacobson, MacGregor, Stuburt, and Wishbone Golf throughout the Southeast, and will also cover BIG MAX in the Eastern region.

The appointment brings together a portfolio of heritage and performance-led golf brands under an agency with deep industry expertise and established relationships.

Spike Golf Agency is led by Spike Freeman, a highly respected industry veteran with an exceptional 38-year career at PUMA.

During his tenure, Spike played a pivotal role in launching PUMA Golf in 2006, acquiring COBRA Golf from Acushnet in 2010, and subsequently helping to build COBRA PUMA GOLF, where he served as General Manager UKI.

His strategic insight and track record of brand growth have made him one of the most influential figures in the UK golf market.

The agency is operated in partnership with his son, Louis Freeman, who also brings significant experience to the role.

Louis spent 10 years at PUMA, including six years with COBRA PUMA GOLF, before moving to Wilson Golf as Area Sales Manager for the South East.

His strong retail relationships and hands-on sales background position him well to drive engagement and service levels across the regions.

Louis will begin contacting existing and prospective accounts in the coming weeks to introduce the agency and outline plans for the brands.

Spike will formally join the agency following his departure from PUMA on April 1st, ensuring continuity and leadership as the business establishes itself.

Under the agreement, Spike Golf Agency will service:

  • Oscar Jacobson, Stuburt, BIG MAX, MacGregor, and Wishbone across Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Middlesex, North London;
  • and all brands except BIG MAX across Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Oxfordshire, South London, & Channel Islands.

The appointment reflects Worldwide Golf Brands’ ongoing strategy to align with experienced, relationship-driven partners who can deliver consistent brand representation, high service standards, and sustainable growth across key UK territories.
