This could be Wreckreation’s last major update, with the studio at risk of redundancies unless it can secure additional funding.
A new Wreckreation update has landed, bringing long-awaited crossplay multiplayer support.
One of the most requested features missing at launch, players can now race, complete mini-challenges, or explore with friends across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, without needing to own the game on the same platform. This will hopefully make the online servers more active.
Additionally, the update makes the steering smoother to improve the vehicle handling, makes the photo mode accessible in the pause menu for mid-crash shots and adds more livery colour options, among other community-requested features.

It comes after a free update added playable police cars to the destructive open-world driving game.
Sadly, this could be Wreckreation’s last major update, with the studio at risk of redundancies if it can’t secure additional funding to continue supporting the game. A video released today, 4th December, showcases several new features that were planned, including playable construction vehicles and an Accident Blackspot mode inspired by Burnout’s Crash mode.
Patch notes for Wreckreation’s crossplay update can be found below.
