Shami, who last played in the World Cup and assisted the Indian team during the last World Cup, has been on the mend soaking up the cause of the surgery he underwent this year.

If playing a few domestic games is what it takes to test my match fitness, then I shall,” Shami had said.
What counts the most is that I am primed for whatever is next, whether it is regarding any team or any format,” Saha, who last played for Bengal in the year 2007, had moved to Tripura as a player cum coach after having differences with the Cricket Association of Bengal politicians in 2022.
