Three WTA events in one week with most of the top guns taking a break means a lot of opportunities for players down the rankings.
And Czechia’s Sara Bejlek, Great Britain’s Katie Boulter and veteran Romanian Sorana Cirstea took full advantage of the situation.
In addition to that, a bunch of new career highs as well.
For the complete, updated WTA rankings for Monday, click here.
Ekaterina Alexandrova (RUS): No. 11 ========> No. 10
(Alexandrova, the Abu Dhabi finalist, moves back to tie her career high and is back in the top 10. She’s into the top 50 in doubles as well, after winning that event).
Clara Tauson (DEN): No. 16 ========> No. 14
(Tauson was a semifinalist in Doha).
Emma Raducanu (GBR): No. 30 ========> No. 25
(Raducanu ran out of gas after a grueling semifinal in Cluj, and also apparently picked up some sort of bug. But still, a good week for her and she’s back in the top 25).

Sorana Cirstea (ROU): No. 36 ========> No. 31
(Cirstea is at her highest ranking since Aug. 2023 with a title in her home country. This is her final year on Tour and she looks determined to go out with a bang. Last June, she had dropped as low as No. 169).
Sara Bejlek (CZE): No. 101 ========> No. 38
(A new career high, by a mile, as the 20-year-old Czech lefty qualifies and wins the Abu Dhabi event, a WTA 500. It was unxpected, to say the least. But she thoroughly earned it and the rankings change will be a career-changer).

Hailey Baptiste (USA): No. 56 ========> No. 39 (
Baptiste moves into the top 40 for the first time, and to a career high, after getting a wild card into Abu Dhabi and making the semifinals).
Alexandra Eala (PHI): No. 45 ========> No. 40
(The Filipino star was the BIG hit in Abu Dhabi, with throngs showing up to support her. She made the quarterfinals, which was a good effort, and moves to a new career high).

Sonay Kartal (GBR): No. 61 ========> No. 50
(Kartal is back into the top 50 after going from the qualifying to the quarters in Abu Dhabi. She qualified in Doha, too, but fell in the first round).
Oleksandra Oliynykova (UKR): No. 91 ========> No. 71
(The effervescent Ukrainian, who looks to be enjoying every bit of her rise this year, continues as she qualifies in Abu Dhabi and wins a round, falling narrowly to Emma Raducanu. It’s another career high).

Katie Boulter (GBR): No. 120 ========> No. 84
(After a really tough 2025, Boulter is back with a new coach in Michael Joyce, and another title in Ostrava).
Lilli Tagger (AUT): No. 128 ========> No. 115
(Another career high for the 17-year-old Austrian, who made the final at the WTA 125 in Mumbai, India).
