The total prize purse for the final stands at a staggering USD 5.76 million (approximately INR 49.27 crore), more than double the prize money of the previous two editions. The champions will walk away with USD 3.6 million (around INR 30.80 crore), while the runners-up will receive USD 2.16 million (INR 18.48 crore).
This substantial increase underlines the ICC’s commitment to elevating the stature of Test cricket and rewarding excellence in the game’s longest format.
South Africa were the first team to qualify for the final after topping the WTC points table, powered by a dominant run that included victories over Pakistan, West Indies, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka, as well as a drawn home series against India.
Meanwhile, Australia sealed their spot following a 3-1 Border-Gavaskar Trophy win over India, complemented by home and away series victories against New Zealand, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
Beyond the finalists, the ICC has also allocated prize money for the remaining seven teams based on their final standings in the WTC cycle. India, finishing third, will receive INR 12.31 crore, while New Zealand, the inaugural WTC champions, earn INR 10.26 crore for fourth place.
Other teams such as England, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, West Indies, and Pakistan will also receive a share ranging between INR 4.10 crore and INR 8.20 crore.

How much money India will receive in WTC competition?
Team India reached the WTC finale in its first two editions, 2021 and 2023, but finished as runners-up, earning 5.8 crores in 2021 and 6.5 crores in 2023. Despite placing third in the WTC 2023-25 cycle, they will receive 12.31, which is more than their runners-up money gathered from the previous two editions.
