WWE Deletes Ricky Saints Concert Segment from Twitter After Fan Backlash

Ricky Saints’ attempt at a musical promo didn’t exactly hit the right note — and now WWE quietly deleted the video.

During the segment on the March 3 edition of NXT, Saints attempted a Joe Hendry-style musical promo built around the phrase “I believe in Ricky.” The idea was clearly inspired by Hendry’s well-known crowd-singalong act, but the live audience reaction reportedly fell flat.

Things eventually turned chaotic when Hendry appeared dressed as a roadie, smashed a guitar, and kicked off a wild brawl. WWE later kept footage of the fight circulating online — but the concert portion of the segment suddenly disappeared from the company’s Twitter. The move quickly caught the attention of fans, who pointed out that the clips appeared to be removed after viewers started roasting the segment online.

One fan took to Twitter and pointed out that WWE had actively deleted the poorly received clip of the concert, leaving broken links wherever the video had been embedded.

“WWE has deleted the clips of the poorly received Ricky Saints concert from their twitter, the only clips remaining are of Hendry attacking Ricky. accounts that embedded the video are just left with a dead link now💀💀💀.”

Others pointed directly at WWE’s decision to delete the clip as proof the company knew the segment didn’t land: “MFs were in my replies saying ‘what’s the problem with this segment’ well clearly WWE found a couple 😭.”

This comes after the clip got a ton of negative reactions. One fan was comparing Saints to a bargain-bin version of one of the Rock: “Apologise to Adam Copeland. He is a vanilla midget rip-off of the Rock.” Another fan admitted they had previously defended Saints from those comparisons — but said the segment changed their mind.

“When people would say that he was just a dollar store The Rock I would argue that he was his own thing. Welp, I was wrong. The worst part is you can tell the moment he realizes that it is bombing and there is nothing he can do about it.”

So while the musical promo may have disappeared from WWE’s timeline, the feud between Saints and Hendry is still very much alive heading into the title match at Vengeance Day. Now the real question is whether Saints can recover from the rough segment — or if the internet will keep reminding him about the concert that WWE tried to erase.

What did you think about WWE removing the Ricky Saints concert clip after the backlash? Fair move, or should they have left it up? Drop your thoughts and feedback below.
