WWE could be dealing with a major travel headache ahead of this week’s episode of NXT.
The March 17 edition of WWE NXT is scheduled to air live from the 713 Music Hall in Houston, Texas as the company continues building toward NXT Stand & Deliver. However, several members of the NXT roster may have trouble getting there.
According to a report from Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline, multiple NXT talents are currently stuck at the Orlando airport due to a ground stoppage that has prevented flights from departing the area.
“NXT talent apparently stuck at the Orlando airport which is currently at a ground stoppage with flights delayed so far above four hours.”
Alvarez also noted that WWE is closely monitoring the situation as the company prepares for Tuesday night’s live broadcast from Houston.
“NXT is in Houston tomorrow and WWE is monitoring the situation in case they can’t get out of Orlando.”
The delays appear to be tied to severe weather in the Orlando area. Thunderstorms moved through the region on Monday, causing widespread disruptions that have impacted travelers attempting to leave the airport.
With the show set to air live, the situation could become a logistical challenge if the delays continue. WWE may need to adjust travel plans or make last-minute changes to ensure talent arrives in Houston in time for the broadcast.
The NXT roster is scheduled to appear at 713 Music Hall as the build toward Stand & Deliver continues, making this week’s show an important stop on the road to the brand’s biggest event of the year.
