– We head to the Women’s Locker Room. Jordynne Grace is watching the replay of Thea Hail winning the NXT Women’s North American Championship on her iPad. Jordynne tells Thea that she’s rewatched this match thousands of times, from different angles, and she clearly won, the referee did his job. Thea really appreciates the kind words from Jordynne. She admits that last week was a bit controversial, but she’s gonna go out there and address the WWE Universe as their Women’s North American Champion. Thea tells Jordynne that she wanted to thank her for standing up for her against Blake Monroe, it really meant a lot to her. Jordynne says anytime. Thea says that she’s got this as she walks out of the locker room. Jordynne says to herself that she’ll have to see what Thea says next.
– Superstars from AAA are now available on the WWE Supercard App.
– We see Ethan Page talking to Myles Borne in the locker room. Ethan says that he’s probably the last person Myles wants to see right now, but out of the goodness of his heart, he gave him fantastic advice, to put his career on the path to success. But Myles chose not to listen, and instead, he would rather sit here and sulk and ask himself, why? Well, you know who’s happy that Myles didn’t listen to Ethan? Leon Slater. He has the match that Myles Borne really wanted at New Year’s Evil, and all he had to do was make a small change. It could’ve been Myles who was facing Oba Femi. Look at guys, like, Trick Williams and Ricky Saints, they made small changes, and now their careers are skyrocketing, and they’re better off for it. Everybody wants to pretend that Raw and SmackDown is the shark tank, well, according to Page it’s not, NXT is the shark tank. Better yet, this place is an ocean. If Myles could survive in NXT, Raw and SmackDown will be a cakewalk. Ethan has some pertinent advice going into 2026, he either moves up or moves out. Ethan tells Myles to write this down. Next week, Myles will have the opportunity to watch Ethan take down one of TNA’s best wrestlers, Moose.
Blake Monroe & Thea Hail Segment
Thea Hail: Thank you. I know last week was a little bit controversial. Some people couldn’t believe that I won. I couldn’t believe that I won, but I did it. I’ve always heard people talk about what it’s like to be a champion. I’ve seen the smiles, I’ve heard the words, I’ve seen the celebrations, but nothing prepares for you what it’s like to actually have one on your shoulder. I’ve been NXT Women’s North American Champion for a week now, and this is the greatest thing in my life. You guys have watched me grow up, and life is so hard sometimes. I was a senior in high school; I was an 18-year-old girl. I’ve got so many opportunities that I never I would get so young. And all of that led me to this moment. All of the lessons Mr. Chase taught me, all of the losses, all of the championship matches that I’ve come up short in, all the friendships I’ve lost have led me here.
And so many people doubted me, so many people said I couldn’t do this, but I believed, I believed in the moment when it mattered the most. And when you believe, and you believe hard enough, you make history, you become the youngest NXT Women’s North American Champion in history. Growing up in front of the WWE Universe has been hard, finding your footing as a 20 something year old girl, losing yourself and finding yourself at the same time has been difficult, it’s been messy, but it’s been real. And with this title, I finally feel the confidence that I’ve been lacking. I finally feel like a grown ass woman. And I want nothing more than to celebrate with each and every single one of you.
Blake Monroe: Make it end, Thea. That’s enough. That, that was a fluke. That was a mistake. An inconvenience I have to deal with. I never thought the number three would haunt me so much, but here we are.
Thea Hail: Blake, womp, womp.
Blake Monroe: All that matters now is I want my North American Women’s Championship back, right now, hand it over, give it back.
Thea Hail: No, sorry, Blake, but it’s my North American Championship. You lost, the referee counted, 1-2-3.
Blake Monroe: Stop that, you and I both know that referee had no idea what he was doing. I want my rematch, this is blasphemy.
Thea Hail: Oh, Blake, you know if you were in my position, you would not give me a rematch. But because I face things head on, you got it. New Year’s Evil.
Blake Monroe: Oh, don’t pity me.
Monroe rocks Hail with a forearm smash. Monroe and Hail got into a massive pull apart brawl to close this segment.
– Tavion Heights/Eli Knight Vignette.
– Sarah Schreiber had a backstage interview with Sol Ruca and Zaria. How would Sol feel about wrapping up 2025 as the new Women’s United States Champion? Sol says that it would feel incredible. If 2025 has taught her anything, it’s that you can’t control the waves, but you can learn how to ride them. Sol knows that’s a cliche saying, but she went from being a double champion during WrestleMania Week to watching both of them leave her hands without her losing them herself. That’s nobody’s fault, but then again, it was the most difficult part of the year. However, Sol did beat Bayley at John Cena’s Last Match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. She’s a lucky girl, and she’s lucky to have Zaria as her best friend. When Sol beats Chelsea Green tonight, there’s going to be no better feeling than to being champion again, with her best friend by her side. Zaria says that Sol deserves to be champion again, and she’s going to be there at ringside to help her out.

Knight with The Flying Splash for a two count. Knight applies a front face lock. Heights blocks a boot from Knight. Heights with a back heel trip. Heights goes for a Roll Through Fireman’s Carry Toss, but Knight lands back on his feet. Knight whips Heights across the ring. Knight drops down on the canvas. Knight leapfrogs over Heights.

Heights rocks Knight with a forearm smash. Height goes for a Belly to Back Suplex, but Knight lands back on his feet. Knight with The Pump Kick. Knight hits The Slice Bread. Knight goes for another MoonSault, but Heights ducks out of the way. Heights connects with The Side Belly to Belly Suplex to pickup the victory. After the match, Heights shakes hands with Knight.
Winner: Tavion Heights via Pinfall
– Coming out of the commercial break, we see Blake Monroe looking for the referee that cost her last week. Jackson Drake introduces himself to Monroe. Drake tells Monroe if she would follow him, she would love it. The Vanity Project tries to flirt with Monroe with three Christmas presents. They feel that Monroe should still be the NXT Women’s North American Champion. They believe in Monroe. They’re calling it, The Orlando Screw Job. Ricky Smokes ponders the idea of Thea Hail beating Monroe at New Year’s Evil. Monroe gets pissed and tells Smokes to get out of her face and leave the present.
– Voting is open now for the 2025 NXT Year End Awards. Go to WWE.com for more details. They’ll be revealing the awards on NXT next week.
Oba Femi & Leon Slater Sit-Down Interview
Kelly Kincaid: I would like to welcome both, the NXT Champion Oba Femi, and his challenger at New Year’s Evil, TNA’s X-Division Champion Leon Slater. Gentlemen, thank you so much for joining me today. But Oba, I would like to start with you, because what a dominant year. You started it out at New Year’s Evil by winning the NXT Championship, a title that you’ve held for over seven months, by the way, including main eventing Stand & Deliver. Recently, you defeated Ricky Saints to become a 2X NXT Champion, and even more recently than that, you went toe-to-toe with “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes at Saturday Night’s Main Event, as part of John Cena’s last show. So, what has this year been like for you?
Oba Femi: Kelly, 2025 has been a year of success. I was able to erase the one blemish that almost ruined the damn near perfect reign. Every single bold claim I made this year, I have been able to back it up with complete excellence. And there’s no doubt in anybody’s mind, that for the past two years, I have been The Ruler of NXT. But I wanted to make it a point when I came back in November, to show the world that I’m not just The Ruler of NXT, I’m The Ruler of WWE. And at Saturday Night’s Main Event, there was a shift in the universe, and Cody Rhodes felt that shift. More importantly, the WWE Universe felt that shift as well. And in two weeks, this young hungry lion will feel the shift at New Year’s Evil.
Kelly Kincaid: Very, very strong words from The Ruler. And Leon, I could see you smiling.
Leon Slater: Yeah, because this brother believes every word he says, but so do I. And don’t get me wrong, Oba Femi, I’m walking into the biggest match of my life, and the most difficult match of my life at New Year’s Evil.
Kelly Kincaid: Okay, Leon Slater, The Youngest In Charge, everyone knows how young you are. Everyone has seen you fly around the ring, and The Swanton 450 is truly a thing of beauty. But give a little more insight into The Youngest In Charge.
Leon Slater: I mean, wrestling found me at a very young age, I’m not gonna lie. And I think I had a void in my life that I needed filling at the time, and I couldn’t really figure it out what it was until I found wrestling, and that was it, man. I mean, I remember my cousin put me on to the video games, he put me on to the action figures, he put me on to the DVDs, and I was a sponge for it, cuz. I mean, I started training at 9 years old. And I know, I know it sounds crazy, but when it’s all you think about, when it’s all you talk about, when it’s all you want to do, it doesn’t sound so mad. And I think for myself, I understand it’s not a normal upbringing for a kid, but being the only man in the house, being me, my mom and my sister, The Youngest In Charge, it’s not just a moniker, it’s not just a nickname, it’s what I had to become. And it served me pretty well, so far, I can’t lie, and I have no attention on slowing down. I mean, I’m a record breaker, I’m a moment maker, and in two weeks, another big one awaits me.
Oba Femi: Leon, you have a very inspiring story, but when you stand across the ring from me, your sob story has no happy ending.
Leon Slater: Okay, bro, you don’t need to give me all that. I mean, listen, I’m not one for the trash talk, I let my ability do the speaking for me, and yours speaks volume as well, cuz. And at New Year’s Evil, I guess we’re gonna figure out who speaks the loudest, you feel me?
Oba Femi: We’ll see.
Oba shakes hands with Leon to conclude this interview.
Ricky Saints & Je’Von Evans Segment
AVA: Clearly, things did not end last week, instead, they just escalated. So, now I’m out here with security, and both of you asked for this time, so let’s try it again. First, Je’Von Evans. And now, Ricky Saints.
Je’Von Evans: Hey, we could go and turn his music off, go ahead and turn his music off. I don’t even know why we’re right here talking, we could be out there throwing hands, if we’re gonna be real.
Ricky Saints: See, that right there is what I’m talking about. You don’t have the emotional intelligence like me. You’re too impulsive. And for all of your shortcomings, you’re still hyped up as the future of this company. You could barely read a card, much less shoulder the responsibility it takes to be the face of a brand, where’s with me, I’m the model you should be modeling yourself after me, after Ricky Saints.
Je’Von Evans: Ricky, I ain’t even gonna lie, I’m about to rock you.
AVA: Je’Von!
Je’Von Evans: No, no, no, because he knows it doesn’t have to be like that. All you had to do was let me handle Oba. You know I had Oba beat, but no, Ricky Saints is jealous, and why is that? Why are you jealous? I know why, it’s because you’re not the guy you think you are, if we’re gonna be real.
Ricky Saints: I am every bit of the man that I say I am. I could go to Good Morning America, hop on an airplane, go handout awards, shake hands and kiss babies. And you, you can barely string out two sentences together, sounds like you got marbles in your mouth. I check every box.
Je’Von Evans: Every box. You know what, you know what, you might be right, but I know I check enough boxes for Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce to put me on Raw and SmackDown. You haven’t been there yet. I know I checked enough boxes for John Cena to put me on his final show. Talking about John Cena’s last show, you wasn’t admission. You, Ricky, you wasn’t even thought about. But I’ll be real with you, I didn’t beg these fans, I didn’t beg this crowd, these fans, these people to pick me over you. And what, I’m supposed to slow down, because you can’t keep up? If we’re being real, you’re tripping, and you’re out your damn mind.
Ricky Saints: No, I’m in my right mind, Je’Von.
Je’Von Evans: Hey, hey, hey, if you keep talking to me like I’m a little kid, I’m gonna beat your ass like grown men.
AVA: Okay, okay, okay, I have had enough. Listen, you two can prove who’s better next week, for the last time. One-on-one, Je’Von Evans versus Ricky Saints, and this ends then.
