WWE NXT has claimed another TNA title, this time with Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo taking home the TNA International Championship at Final Resolution.
During Friday’s TNA Final Resolution pay-per-view, Stacks went up against Steve Maclin for his title. In a shocking win, Stacks came out on top, but needed some underhanded tactics to do so. Late in the match, Maclin almost ran into the referee with a clothesline. While he caught himself, the referee had to fall down to avoid the move.
The confusion and chaos allowed Stacks to get the upper hand. He used Lexis King’s walking cane to hit Maclin, stunning the star. Once the referee was back, Stacks then simply rolled up Maclin for the pin and won the title. A shocked TNA broadcast described the win as a “raid” on the company by NXT, as yet another star took a title from the company.
