WWE RAW Superstar Je’Von Evans named four legends as the coaches who made the biggest impact on him during his time in NXT.
Je’Von Evans has been making quite the strides on WWE RAW since getting called up from NXT in January. During his recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, he reminisced on his time in the developmental brand, naming Terry Taylor, Shawn Michaels, Matt Bloom, and Fit Finlay as the coaches who helped him in his journey.
“Terry Taylor, for sure,” Je’Von Evans said. “He’s so blunt and honest. That’s just the people that I feel like I needed because I didn’t want anybody telling me I was doing good and I was horrible, So yeah, Terry Taylor, and of course, HBK and Matt Bloom, but also, Fit Finlay. He taught me how to really have that grit and not just stick to having fun and doing flips. You know, sometimes we all need to show like, hey, alright, you’re pissing me off, and we’re about to throw hands. So I highly thank Fit for helping me with that side of me.” [H/T WrestlingInc]
Je’Von Evans recently qualified for the 2026 men’s Elimination Chamber match. If things go as planned, he will set a unique record at the PLE this Saturday.
Seth Rollins says Je’Von Evans was concussed during a recent match
During his recent conversation with Shannon Sharpe on Club Shay Shay, former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins shared that Je’Von Evans was concussed during his match against El Grande Americano on the January 19 episode of RAW. The referee awarded the contest to Americano after Evans was unable to compete.
“There are sometimes where you’ll get a concussion, or you’ll see somebody get a concussion. I’ve fortunately not been in this position, but you get a concussion, the ref sees that happen, and that’s it, it’s done. They call the match off.
“Young fella named Je’Von Evans just had this happen to him maybe two weeks ago on Monday Night Raw. He butted heads with his opponent, he got concussed, there was a little, ‘Hey, what’s going on?’ They kind of let him walk through a little of the rest of the match while he was out there, and then it became apparent that he wasn’t himself, so that was it. It’s just communication,” Rollins said. [H/T Fightful]
