WWE Trademark Links Name to Recent Tryout Standout

WWE’s latest round of trademark filings is starting to come into focus, and a new update suggests another one of the newly registered names already has a performer lined up.

Earlier reports connected the trademarked name Max Abrams to WWE ID prospect Mike Cunningham, giving the first indication that WWE is actively assigning identities to rising talent in its pipeline. Now, a fresh update from Bodyslam.net points to another developing link — this time involving the name Anya Rune.

According to Bodyslam, sources indicate that the Anya Rune trademark is expected to be used by Airica Demia, a performer who recently stepped into the spotlight during WWE’s February tryouts in Orlando. The update suggests WWE is already planning ahead for Demia following her participation in those sessions.

“Sources indicate to Bodyslam that the recently trademarked name of Anya Rune will be for Airica Demia. Demia took part in the recent WWE tryouts in February in Orlando.”

Demia’s involvement in the February tryouts placed her among a group of athletes being evaluated as potential future additions to WWE’s developmental system. With WWE historically filing trademarks before introducing new characters or rebranding talent, the connection between Demia and the Anya Rune name signals that internal plans may already be taking shape.

The Anya Rune filing was part of a larger batch of five new names WWE recently registered — including Max Abrams, Gianna Capri, Jacari Ball, Veronica Haven, and Anya Rune — all filed under the company’s standard entertainment classification. That classification typically covers live wrestling appearances, television and digital performances, and promotional activity tied to on-screen characters.

While WWE has not publicly confirmed the assignment, the growing number of connections between trademarked names and specific talent points to a continued effort to build out the next wave of performers. With multiple names now reportedly linked to individuals, it appears likely that more identities will be revealed as WWE moves closer to future developmental debuts.

What do you think about the Anya Rune name being linked to Airica Demia? Do you see that name fitting her style, and which of WWE’s newly trademarked names do you expect to debut first? Share your thoughts and leave your feedback.
