Puerto Rico’s unbeaten WBO junior middleweight champion Xander Zayas returns during a loaded weekend of boxing when he faces WBA titleholder Abass Baraou in a unification bout on Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico.
Zayas enters with a perfect 22-0 record and the chance to leave San Juan holding a second world title. For Baraou, it’s a road test against one of the division’s most consistent young champions, with his WBA belt on the line. One fight, two belts-what more can you ask for?
