Xavier Woods points out the obvious about the Usos

WWE World Tag Team Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso cut a fiery promo during Raw’s Netflix anniversary special, putting the entire tag division on notice: “This year’s the year of the Usos.”

However, not everyone is convinced by the twins’ show of solidarity.

On X, the New Day’s Xavier Woods pointed out something plainly obvious to fans, yet no one in WWE said out loud until now.

“The year of the Usos is funny considering they came out and played Jey’s music 3 times,” Woods wrote.

Since reuniting in December, the Usos have consistently entered to Jey’s entrance theme — a remix of their original song, “Done With That (Day One Remix).”

Their recent revival came two weeks after Jey’s last televised singles match on the December 1 episode of Raw, where he lost to LA Knight in the “Last Time is Now Tournament.” After that match, Jey had an on-camera meltdown, trashing Logan Paul’s Prime Hydration Station before storming off.

Before the night ended, his frustration turned to stunning resignation when asked about Raw’s world title picture, leaving fans wondering what’s next for him and his family.

“Roman said it best. Them titles look best on his shoulders and not mine,” said Uso, referring to Roman Reigns. That seemed to suggest tension and jealousy within the ranks of the Samoan dynasty.

Two weeks later, Jey and Jimmy defeated the New Day and earned a title shot on the final Raw of 2025, where they beat AJ Styles and Dragon Lee to claim their ninth tag team championship.

Despite their quick success, the Usos remain centered on Jey. They continue to enter to his music, wear their individual gear and merchandise, and Jimmy even went along with Jey dubbing the show “Mon-Jey Night Raw.”

Throughout the Bloodline saga, Jimmy’s loyalty to Jey has led to controversial choices — most notably costing Jey the Undisputed Universal title against Reigns at SummerSlam 2023. Yet Jimmy had always insisted his priority was keeping their team together.

Whether Jey shares that sentiment remains uncertain. With the every-man-for-himself Royal Rumble approaching and a WrestleMania title shot on the line, fans may soon learn what Jey’s true motivation is.
