I have changed putter grips so many times over the years and it’s a bit of a hassle. So, when I found an option that lets you change grips in seconds I was very intrigued and had to try it..
The company is Xchange Golf and they have an amazing option to be able to have multiple grips for your favorite putter. And what makes this so amazing is that you can change your putter grip in a matter of seconds by simple just unscrewing one screw and your all set. No more having to regrip your favorite putter and ruin a grip you used to like and might want to go back to with the Xchange Golf shaft. Xchange Golf also allows you to use different grip lengths, different grip brands, and different grip hand positions.
Here is some info from Xchange Golf regarding their putter shaft option….
Whether it’s finding your perfect feel, testing new options during a fitting, or adjusting your setup for different playing conditions, Xchange Golf puts customization directly in your hands.
The XG1 is a precision-engineered modular putter shaft that lets you swap grips instantly — without cutting, damage, or waste. Its patented coupling system locks in with tour-grade precision, giving you the same solid, repeatable feel every time.
Built from high-performance carbon fiber and stainless components, the XG1 delivers freedom, confidence, and control in your putting game. Experiment with premium grips, switch setups across multiple putters, or keep your favorites in rotation — all while maintaining the integrity of your shaft and grip.
I have been using my Xchange Golf XG1 shaft for the past month and it has been a terrific option. I have switched out my putter grip a few times to really test the XG1 shaft and switching out the grips is super simple. Exchanging grips takes literally less than 30 seconds by simply using one screw and putting a new shaft on. In addition, the XG1 shaft is very secure and is similar to stability in terms of a traditional shaft. I have been able to use my 2 favorite grips which do have different lengths and features so when on a faster putting green, a prefer one grip and when on a slower green with different undulation’s I prefer another.
Bottom line, if you want versatility and unlimited options the Xchange Golf XG1 shaft is a great option and, in my opinion, an awesome idea. Having multiple grip options available anytime is amazing and it is so simple to use. There is no reason to be stuck with one putter grip any longer, and the only simple and best option is by using the Xchange Golf XG1 shaft. It’s truly a game changer!
