India opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has decided to follow in the footsteps of Arjun Tendulkar as he will play Ranji Trophy for Goa. The decision to change the team from Mumbai to Goa was a surprising one, given Jaiswal’s huge success for Mumbai in domestic cricket.
Yashasvi Jaiswal made his name by scoring loads of runs in first-class cricket for Mumbai. As a result, he got a chance in India’s Test team and grabbed the opportunity with both hands. However, the opener will be playing for Goa from the next season.

Jaiswal has asked for a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) to change his domestic cricket team to Goa. He is likely to be available for the state from the next season of domestic cricket.
“He has sought a NOC from us and has cited that the reason for his move to Goa is personal,” a source was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.
