Yuvi drops a special message on the anniversary of Six sixes

Yuvraj Singh achieved what would be recorded in the history of Indian cricket for eternity on 19th September 2007 with his remarkable performance at the first T20 World Cup. The left-handed batsman displayed an incredible show of power hitting when he scored six sixes in one over off England’s fast bowler Stuart Broad. It was the very first time ever for a cricketer to do this in T20 cricket and it turned out to be a defining moment for this format of the game. Although seventeen years have elapsed since that knock, experts and fans are still astonished at how gigantic it was; thus Yuvraj took to social media to post a special message

Yuvraj tweeted on X (previously Twitter) alongside video clips showing how he hit six sixes against England: “Always thankful representing my country through moments like these.”

Earlier, Yuvraj Singh picked his all-time XI. As one of cricket’s most accomplished players himself, Yuvraj made some predictable selections for his team, as he named his XI. The Indian batsmen chosen included Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Primarily, he opted for Sachin Tendulkar and Ricky Ponting as the openers with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli entering at the No. 3 and No. 4 positions respectively. In the fifth position, Yuvraj opted for AB de Villiers followed by Adam Gilchrist at No. 6, who was specialized wicket-keeper.

Seventh saw Yuvraj choosing Shane Warne an Australian spin-bowling legend while the eighth position was occupied by Muttiah Muralitharan. Over in the pace department there were Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram occupying the 9th and 10th slots respectively with former England all-rounder Andrew Flintoff being chosen at No. 11
