Yuvraj Singh makes a massive revelation about hitting 6 sixes against Stuart Broad

Yuvraj Singh, the former all-rounder of India, opened up about what Andrew Flintoff said to him during ttheir verbal exchange in the 2007 T20 World Cup. In this regard, many people have fond and cherished images of the extremists who played this magnum opus. Most notably Misbah Ul Haq’s inventive stroke in the last over against India, and of course Yuvraj whacking that humongous cow with six consecutive balls out of a bored bowler named Stuart Broad following an exuberant display of banter with Flintoff. Yuvraj was reminded of the time when he was taunted by Flintoff after he had clattered a couple of boundaries in the course of his over.

‘Freddie bowled two good balls, he bowled a length ball that went for a boundary and good yorker that I was hit over the point. As I walked back after a single, he said, ‘f ’… ’ shit shots, ” Yuvraj said on the Club Prairie Fire podcast.

Flintoff wasn’t going to be silenced and kept on offending Yuvraj which irked him and caused a brief fight, warranting the umpire’s involvement.

“He repeated it on my face looking straight at me. I made a move to him and he sort of spat at me. I pointed my bat at him because he knows where it is going. It became worse than that. After that came in the umpire,” Yuvraj added.

As fun as it was for Yuvraj to hit six sixes off an Indian bowler named Broad, he was even more pleased with the fact that “I hit Freddie for a six, I enjoyed it more than six sixes.”

Throughout the victorious run for India, the presence of Yuvraj in the tournament proved to be an important factor time and again. Recently, Sreesanth reminded everyone that, at such a big event, Yuvraj was the powerless one, not able to do any harm to India’s chances of winning.

“It was the combination of seniority and junior members together. Dhoni was the captain but without the presence of Yuvraj I don’t think we would have won the world cup. It is not only Dhoni who is responsible for winning the world cup. His leadership qualities were superior. The entire back-up team was with us. World cup was won by all, not by one person,” Sreesanth said to ANI.

In an edge-of-the-seat performance, this team effort saw India cross the finishing line, creating history as the first team to beat the arch – rivals Pakistan to bag the title.
