Yuvraj Singh’s cheeky tweet after England’s elimination leaves everyone in Spills

Former Indian cricketer and T20 World Cup 2024 ambassador Yuvraj Singh posted a playful tweet on ‘X’ following India’s victory in the semi-final against England. Yuvraj, who won the 2007 T20 World Cup, used ‘X’ to celebrate the Indian team’s success and humorously teased England by saying “goodnight in-laws.” This playful jab comes from Yuvraj’s personal connection to England through his marriage to Hazel Keech, an actress and model who grew up in Britain. Despite his ties to England, Yuvraj was thrilled with India’s win, which secured their place in the final of the T20 World Cup 2024 by defeating England.

India got their revenge for the T20 World Cup 2022 semi-final loss by defeating England by 68 runs at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on June 27, Thursday. This was their chance to get even, and the Indian team did it impressively. The semi-final match was completely dominated by India, both in batting and bowling.

India chose to bat first and played well as a team, scoring 171 runs. Their batting was led by captain Rohit Sharma, who made 57 runs in 39 balls, and Suryakumar Yadav helped keep the team steady with 47 runs. Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel also contributed to a strong finish for India.

England’s batters struggled against the Indian spin bowlers, with Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav each taking three wickets, resulting in England being all out for just 103 runs.
