If a player has been a part of the IPL, he will have a lot of demand in regional T20 leagues, be it as a player or as a coach. We have seen this in recent times, as well. Tamil Nadu Premier League is one of the best state-based T20 leagues at the moment. Interestingly, some of the former RCB players are a part of the competition as a Head Coach. On that note, here, we take a look at the list of two former RCB players who are Head Coaches in the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024.
1) Subramaniam Badrinath – Dindigul Dragons
S Badrinath’s chunk of IPL career happened at CSK. However, he was a part of the RCB Team for a short while but did not get any chances.
While he is known as a commentator, he is doing well as a Head Coach too. In his team, there are the likes of R Ashwin, Baba Indrajith, Varun CV and Sandeep Warrier. With such an experienced squad, Dindigul will hope to win the league. R Ashwin is the captain of the team.
2) Tinu Yohannan – Trichy Grand Cholas
Tinu Yohannan is one of the former RCB players who are Head Coaches in the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024. The former India pacer is the first cricketer from Kerala to play ODI and Test cricket for India. Back in 2009, he was a part of the RCB squad, as well.
After hanging up his boots, he took up the role of a coach. For a while, he was the Head Coach of the Kerala Ranji Team. Now, he is plying trade in the TNPL. He has a good squad with some fine players such as Sanjay Yadav and Sarvana Kumar P. The management will hope that he does well with the team.
