The event was a new addition to the 2024 PGA Tour calendar, taking place on the same weekend as the Wells Fargo Championship which a limited-field signature event.
The tournament takes place at Dunes Golf and Beach Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
It continues for the third year running as an alternative event to the now-named Signature Event the Truist Championship on the 2026 PGA Tour schedule.
The previous winners of the ONEflight-sponsorted Myrtle Beach Classic are Chris Gotterup in 2024 and Ryan Fox in 2025.

The Myrtle Beach Classic will be played over four rounds / 72 holes at Dunes Golf and Beach Club with a cut after the opening two rounds.
