The 2026 Rugby Africa Women’s Cup concluded at RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi, Kenya, with South Africa emerging as champions for the fifth time after defeating hosts Kenya 35-20 in the tournament’s decisive final match.
The Springbok Women finished top of the standings with a perfect 15 points from three wins, reaffirming their dominance on the continent.
Kenya Lionesses finished second with 10 points, their only defeat coming against South Africa. The hosts impressed throughout the tournament and ended with a points difference of +75.
Uganda secured third place after registering their first and only victory of the campaign, a convincing 46-12 win over Madagascar in the final round. The Lady Cranes finished with four points, enough to preserve their place in the competition.

The 2026 edition, the sixth staging of the Rugby Africa Women’s Cup, was held at RFUEA Grounds from 23 to 31 May and brought together Africa’s top four women’s rugby nations in a round-robin format.
South Africa’s triumph secured them yet another continental crown, while Uganda’s final-round victory ensured their survival in the top tier at Madagascar’s expense.
