2026 Wimbledon – Early Outright Odds and Favourites

The grass-court season has been great so far and we’re getting closer to the hallowed grounds of the All England Club for the 139th edition of the Wimbledon Championships. With the tournament first round kicking off on June 29, 2026, the betting markets have already begun to take shape, reflecting both current form and of course the prestige of this event

Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek are the defending champions and the Italian is entering as a huge odds favourite once again. Iga is just third favourite at good odds for anyone betting on her. This year the organisers has announced a record prize money pool and there will be a lot at stake.

The Gentlemen’s Singles – One man to beat

In the men’s draw, the narrative is largely dominated by the defending champion. Jannik Sinner enters as the clear betting favourite, with most sportsbooks placing him around the 1/2 or -200 mark (1.50). Despite a strange stumble at Roland Garros, his dominant form over the 2026 season makes him the man to beat.

With Carlos Alcaraz sidelined due to injury, the path for other contenders has opened up slightly. Djokovic remains a threat as always, sitting at roughly six times the money with hunger for a 25th Grand Slam title.

Alexander Zverev is also seeing significant interest at around 10.00 (+900), especially following his victory at the French Open and great form and consistency throughout the season.

So far in the grass season we’ve also seen many Americans impress. Shelton, Fritz will be threats and even Paul and Tiafoe might have a deep run. Tiafoe, the recent Halle winner, pays around 100 times the money for anyone brave enough ot bet on him.

Sinner, still the man to beat.

The Ladies’ Singles: Wide Open Competition

The women’s draw looks significantly more unpredictable, nice for those who enjoy betting on value. Sabalenka currently leads the pack at roughly 4.25 (+325, 13/4), the world no 1 arrives with a lot of experience but has seen strange dips in form at times recently.

She is closely trailed by the 2022 champion Elena Rybakina, defending champion Iga Swiatek and the nowadays established star Mirra Andreeva, both around 8 times the money.

Players to Watch: Dark Horses and Possible Surprises

While the favourites often grab the headlines, Wimbledon is famous for its upsets and grass is an interesting surface in this aspect. If you’re looking for value outside the top seeds, keep an eye on these players:

  • Ben Shelton (21.00, +2000, 20/1): Coming off a title win at the Boss Open in Stuttgart, Shelton is carrying momentum and real consistency and his game is great on fast grass courts. The American is now being viewed as a legitimate contender rather than a long shot.
  • Jack Draper: With the legendary Andy Murray added to his team, can he surprise right away in his comeback? We know he has the talent. Won his first match of the comeback in Eastbourne.
  • Donna Vekic: Often flying under the radar, Vekic is good on grass and can cause upsets vs higher ranked players.
  • Jiri Lehecka: Not in the top 10 favourites for the trophy but another high-quality grass-court player to keep an eye on.
