3 fights you can’t miss

2026 is in full swing, and we have already seen some memorable moments in the boxing schedule, including Shakur Stevenson’s dominating performance against Teofimo Lopez and Emanuel Navarrete’s brilliant win against Eduardo Nunez. There are many more fights already in the calendar, including Xander Zayas vs Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis. Here are three fights in the May boxing schedule you can’t miss.

February boxing schedule: 3 fights to look forward to

The three fights we have listed are, in our opinion, the best ones on offer on the May boxing schedule. Conah Walker vs Sam Eggington, O’Shaquie Foster vs Raymond Ford, and Shakhram Giyasov vs. Jack Catterall are just three of the other fights we’ll be watching closely.

Gilberto Ramirez vs David Benavidez

On May 2, at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Gilberto Ramirez vs David Benavidez headlines a PBC Pay-Per-View event available on Prime Video and DAZN PPV for Ramirez’s WBO/WBA cruiserweight title.

This intriguing cruiserweight match-up is one of the best fights you can make in boxing. Ramirez is slick and a great body puncher. Benavidez is a come-forward power-puncher and will need to breach the jab of Ramirez to get inside and unsettle the champion. We are looking forward to this fight.

Naoya Inoue vs Junto Nakatani

On May 2, at the Tokyo Dome, Naoya Inoue vs Junto Nakatani (32-0, 24 KOs) headlines an Ohashi Promotions fight card, live on DAZN. This showdown is one the boxing world has dreamed of, and it’s finally happening. They will collide for Inoue’s undisputed super bantamweight title.

This is the mega-fight for Japanese boxing, and one for boxing purists all over the world. Can Inoue (32-0, 27 KOs) deal with Nakatani’s tall, rangy southpaw stance? Naktani is brilliant at controlling the distance and moving out of range, but is comfortable exchanging up close. Did Sebastian Hernandez Reyes give Inoue the blueprint last time out? Inoue is an exceptional body-puncher, and he times his punches impressively. This is a truly brilliant fight on paper. Do not miss this one! This fight should be on everyone’s must-watch boxing schedule.

Fabio Wardley vs Daniel Dubois

On May 9, at the Co-op Live in Manchester, live on DAZN, Fabio Wardley vs Daniel Dubois headlines a Queensberry Promotions fight card. Wardley’s WBO world heavyweight title will be up for grabs in the main event, billed as “don’t blink.”

This is a straight shoot-out between two huge punchers. Wardley (20-0-1, 19 KOs) has shown an incredible will-to-win in his fights, defeating the likes of Joseph Parker, Justis Huni and Frazer Clarke. Dubois hasn’t fought since losing his rematch against Oleksandr Usyk. Dubois (22-3, 21 KOs) has a ramrod jab and a massive right hand, while Wardley also carries plenty of power; he has shown a granite chin and a willingness to plant his feet and trade with anyone.

This event has been dubbed “Don’t Blink” for a reason!
