Early Rider has unveiled “a fully redesigned range of children’s bikes” to coincide with its 20th anniversary. The new lineup is “built around development-focused geometry and a clearer progression pathway so riders and retailers can better navigate the journey from early balance bikes to larger pedal models”.
The updated range represents the company’s first comprehensive overhaul in more than five years and reflects two decades of insight into how children learn to ride.
The announcement points out that “By aligning frame geometry, touchpoints and ride dynamics with key developmental milestones, Early Rider aims to reduce barriers for new riders and support skill advancement at every stage”.
Andy Loveland, Founder of Early Rider, reflects, “After 20 years of watching young riders grow up on our bikes, the focus for this relaunch was clear. We took what we’ve learned from thousands of real rides & applied it to every point of fit and control. The result is a range that feels more intuitive for kids & easier for parents & retailers to recommend.”
The platform spans balance bikes designed for first experiences at around eight months, right through to performance-oriented pedal bikes. Each model has been refined for better contact, balance and handling based on size and expected rider ability, making it simpler to match customers with the right product.
Early Rider has long positioned durability and long-term value as fundamentals of its design philosophy. The new models continue that tradition, with premium components and construction intended to withstand multiple seasons of use and, in many cases, more than one rider.
“Durability matters in this category,” Loveland added. “These bikes are built to last, and that creates confidence for families and trust for shops stocking them.”
The relaunch builds on strong recent momentum for the brand, with double-digit growth in 2025 and over 10,000 Velios sold in the US. Early Rider is a profitable, independently owned business with growing distribution across the UK, Europe and the United States, alongside newly opened markets in Australia and the Middle East.
The brand-new lineup will be available globally through independent dealers and online in early 2026.
