1. AB de Villiers (South Africa), 2015 – 31 balls

The explosive South African wicket-keeper batter absolutely destroyed the West Indian bowling attack through his incredible hard-hitting. De Villiers scored 149 runs in just 44 balls before getting dismissed by Andre Russell. Thanks to this amazing knock, the Proteas went on to post a mammoth total of 439/2 after 50 overs.

2. Corey Anderson (New Zealand), 2014 – 36 balls

After the match was shortened to 21 overs for each side due to the rain, the Black Caps came out to bat and dismantled the West Indian bowling attack. Anderson was the star of the show as he became the player to score the fastest ODI century at that time. He would remain unbeaten on 131 runs off only 47 deliveries. New Zealand posted the huge total of 283/4 after 21 overs.

3. Shahid Afridi (Pakistan), 1996 – 37 balls

Along with being a fabulous spinner, Afridi was also a really explosive batter who was quite successful in the one-day format. Arguably his best knock of his career came against Sri Lanka where he scored a 37-ball ton to carry Pakistan to a massive total of 371/9 after 50 overs. Afridi would go on to hold the record for the fastest century to ever be scored in the ODI format for 18 years.

4. Glenn Maxwell (Australia), 2023 – 40 balls

The explosive Australian batter went on a rampage during the ODI World Cup 2023 match against Netherlands and ended up scoring an amazing 40-ball ton. With this, he became the player to score the fastest century in ODI World Cup history. He was dismissed by Logan van Beek after scoring 106 runs off just 44 balls. This knock helped Australia in reaching the humongous total of 399/8 after 50 overs.

5. Asif Khan (UAE), 2023 – 41 balls

Coming in to bat at number 7, Asif took the Nepalese bowlers to the cleaners with his knock that included 11 maximums. The UAE batter would remain unbeaten on 101 runs off only 42 balls to carry his side to the great total of 310/6. This ton is one of if not the best knock ever played by an UAE batter in any format.
