The Packers shook up the wide receiving corps last week, trading Dontayvion Wicks to the Philadelphia Eagles, amid an offseason of major turnover at the position.
While much of the Packers’ passing game funnels through star tight end Tucker Kraft, Green Bay previously allowed Romeo Doubs to walk via free agency to the New England Patriots before shipping Wicks to Philadelphia, which could put immense pressure on Matthew Golden to make a leap in his second season and Christian Watson to stay healthy.
Green Bay may also turn to the NFL Draft to add a potential difference-making replacement for Wicks.
NFL Draft 2026: Packers host Chris Brazzell for top-30 visit
According to report from Ian Rapoport from NFL Media, the Packers are hosting Tennessee wide receiver Chris Brazzell for a pre-draft, top-30 visit.
Brazzell, 6-foot-4 and 198 pounds, profilies as a big-bodied target for quarterback Jordan Love, but also as a big-play threat given his speed, acceleration, and athleticism.
During his career in Knoxville, Brazzell caught 136 passes for 2,072 yards and 11 touchdowns, while his 15.2 yards per reception average underscores his ability to not just stretch the field, but create big opportunities after the catch, as well.
The Packers appear to be in the midst of a multi-year reset at receiver, after selecting Matthew Golden and Savion Williams last spring during the 2025 NFL Draft, and Brazzell could be a fascinating target to watch should he be on the board in the second round when Green Bay goes on the clock for the first time.
