Liverpool will now be fully focussed on securing a place in the top four of the Premier League following their exit from the Champions League on Tuesday night.
The Reds were comfortably beaten 4-0 on aggregate by holders Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals, ending their chances of lifting a trophy this term.
Doubts surrounding the future of manager Arne Slot continue to circulate, but it also appears that the Merseyside outfit could be preparing for a huge overhaul of their squad this summer.
As reported by The Telegraph, the Merseyside outfit are ready to allow as many as nine first team players to leave Anfield this summer, with those in charge of the club keen to once again overhaul the squad.
Liverpool have made significant changes to their playing squad over the past couple of years and spent an unprecedented amount during last summer’s transfer window, however the likes of Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz have failed to live up to expectations.

It is claimed that those in charge of the club are therefore preparing significant changes this summer, with several key first team players set to be allowed to leave.
Midfielders Curtis Jones and Alexis Mac Allister are both on the list of potential outgoings, while defender Joe Gomez could also depart.
Harvey Elliott – who is enduring a disappointing loan spell at Aston Villa – is another player who could leave, along with forward Federico Chiesa, who has struggled since joining the Reds 18 months ago.
Calvin Ramsey and Rhys Williams could also be shown the door, while it has already been confirmed that Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson will leave the club this summer.
In total, those nine players have made a combined 215 appearances for Slot’s side so far this term.
