‘Rams Creative Team Won the Offseason’ — NFL World Reacts As LA Recreates Iconic ‘Friday’ Scene in Draft Hype Video

Earlier this week, the Los Angeles Rams were in the news for announcing new uniforms ahead of the 2026 NFL season. Now, they’re following it up with something crazier.

Ahead of next Thursday’s NFL Draft, the team released a hype video recreating a scene from the hit movie “Friday.” Here’s how people on social media reacted.

Rams’ “Friday” Draft Video Goes Viral on Social Media

Last season, the Rams finished among the league’s best teams. In PFSN’s NFL Offensive Impact Metric, the team ranked as the league’s best offensive team, with an impact score of 92.3 and a letter grade of A-. In PFSN’s NFL Defensive Impact Metric, the team finished with an impact score of 85.5 and a letter grade of B, which placed them fifth in the league.

Even though the team traded its own first-round pick to the Kansas City Chiefs for Trent McDuffie, it had acquired the Atlanta Falcons’ first-round pick in a draft-day trade last year, which will have them pick 13th overall.

Prior to the draft next week, the Rams released a draft hype video in the style of the hit movie, “Friday.”

Rapper and actor Ice Cube reacted with, “That’s my boy!”

The reason for Ice Cube’s comment is that his son, O’Shea Jackson Jr., parodies him in the video.

Jackson posted, “Maaaan it’s a big day for ya boy!!!! LARAMILIA!!!!”

Staff writer for the Rams, Stu Jackson, talked more about the significance of the video, saying, “Yes, that is the house from ‘Friday’ – with cameos from Ice Cube’s son O’Shea Jackson Jr. and Chris Tucker’s son Destin Tucker. Love everything about this.”

The praise continued to roll in, but not for edge rusher Jared Verse. NFL Analyst Mina Kimes said, “Jared Verse can act!”

Nonetheless, there was widespread praise for the Rams’ creative team. NFL Analyst Peter Schrager wrote, “Rams in-house production continues to bring it every time. This was great.”

With all of the praise, Undaunted wrote, “The Rams’ creative team just won the NFL offseason. Big Worm approves.”

California Post writer Vincent Bonsignore posted, “Very well done by the Rams.”
