However, having a plan B has left a few female talents off the card. Now, it’s been said that Saraya has signed with WWE. Reports indicate that Paige is Nikki Bella’s replacement for the Fatal Four-Way Women’s Tag Team Title Match on WrestleMania 42 Saturday. This is a breaking story.
Current Rumor: Paige Signs with WWE
There is a lot of buzz that Paige is coming back to her house in WWE. Saraya left AEW a little over a year ago, and hasn’t been very active in the independent scene. Instead, Saraya has focused on her podcast Rulebreakers with Saraya.
However, the former Glampire of WWE has been training for potential opportunities. In fact, Saraya got the world talking before the Royal Rumble when the Brit appeared at an indie show using Paige’s WWE theme music.
Since that event, Saraya has posted a few social media videos of herself working off some ring rust. While she didn’t appear at the Royal Rumble, WWE fans are still holding hope that the former Divas Champion will make her return.
Just this past week, AJ Lee spoke fondly of Paige. The Black Widow called herself Saraya’s “fairy godmother.” Recently returning herself, AJ Lee noted that Paige’s WWE return would warm CM Punk’s wife’s heart.
Now, AJ Lee’s dreams might come true. There are heavy rumors that Saraya will be Nikki Bella’s replacement at the Showcase of the Immortals.
Will Paige Replace Nikki Bella?
We can confirm that Saraya is in Las Vegas, host of this year’s WrestleMania. She is currently at WrestleCon. Therefore, it’s probable for Paige to make her long-awaited WWE return during the Fatal Four-Way Women’s Tag Team Title Match.
It’s very fitting that Paige could be Nikki Bella’s replacement. This is AJ Lee’s first WrestleMania in 11 years. If Paige wrestles this year, it will also be Paige’s first WrestleMania in 11 years.
That’s because the last time AJ Lee and Paige wrestled on the WrestleMania card was in a Tag Team, defeating The Bella Twins. So, Paige returning to team with her former Total Divas castmate, Brie Bella, would be a complete full-circle moment.

The Bella Twins wanted this WrestleMania moment so badly. Sadly, Nikki Bella competed most of last year without her twin sister. After months of pitches, WWE kept shooting Brie Bella down. Finally, Brie Bella made her return at this year’s Royal Rumble. Since then, The Bellas have been used sparingly.
Over the past few weeks, Nikki Bella has been dealing with a lingering ankle injury, jeopardizing their goals to become the first sisters to win Tag Team gold. Nikki Bella hasn’t been officially pulled from the match yet. However, she shared pics on social media of herself with her son, Mateo, visiting the Goodyear Blimp.

Paige’s Journey Back to WWE
It’s been a long battle back to WWE for Paige. After being forced into retirement and having a tumultuous relationship with Alberto Del Rio, WWE and Paige slowly parted ways.
Following her WWE run, Saraya worked to get herself medically cleared to wrestle for AEW. While Saraya won the AEW Women’s Title in front of a sold-out Wembley Stadium, she had a hard time finding her groove in AEW.
The former Paige even admitted she lost her passion for wrestling while there. Perhaps being Nikki Bella’s replacement can reinvigorate the next chapter of Paige’s career.
