WrestleMania 42 took over Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. You never know what can happen at the show of shows, because the aftermath of that big event can be career-changing.
Becky Lynch was able to beat AJ Lee for the Women’s IC Title at WrestleMania 42. That made Lynch a three-time champion, but the fact is that AJ Lee’s fan base was quite sad over that loss. Now, AJ Lee may be taking another break.
During the post-show after WrestleMania 42’s first night, AJ Lee addressed that special entrance she received at the show of shows. Then she turned things around to say that this isn’t goodbye forever, but a hiatus is very likely.
“With that entrance, I wanted to represent those fans who have been with me since day one, who have been wearing my outfits, my shirts, my shoes, my shorts, skipping along with me the whole way. That was for you. I love you. I never got to say goodbye last time, and I always felt bad about that.”
“So, this is not goodbye, but I’ll see ya soon.”
AJ Lee’s loss at WrestleMania means Becky Lynch can continue as Women’s IC Champion. Lee may not be around WWE every week at this point, but it’s apparent that a return is still very much on the table.
We will have to see what AJ Lee does next in WWE. She has a lot going on in her life at this point, but she will always have a home in pro wrestling.
