The 2026 boxing schedule has already produced some memorable fights, with more in the calendar, and others rumoured to be confirmed. As we look ahead to the remainder of April, here are three fights you can’t miss before the end of April.
April boxing schedule: 3 fights to watch before the end of the month
The three fights we have listed are, in our opinion, the best ones on offer on the remainder of the April boxing schedule. Jarrell Miller vs Lenier Pero and Skye Nicolson vs Mariah Turner will be two other fights we’ll be watching closely.
Tony Yoka vs Lawrence Okolie
The first fight we’re highlighting on the boxing schedule before the end of April is Tony Yoka (15-3, 12 KOs) vs Lawrence Okolie (23-1, 17 KOs) in the heavyweight division. This intriguing heavyweight showdown will take place at the Adidas Arena, Paris XVIII, on April 25. It will be promoted by Queensberry Promotions, live on DAZN.
Yoka has won his last four fights after flattering to deceive in his professional career thus far, after a stellar amateur career. Okolie is a two-weight world champion (cruiserweight & bridgerweight), while Yoka is eager to earn a world title shot. Both have KO power and plenty of attributes to make this a great fight.
Alan Chaves vs Miguel Madueno
The next fight on our list for fights to watch on the boxing schedule before the end of April is Matchroom Boxing’s recent signing, Alan Chaves (21-0, 18 KOs), as the Argentinian is set to face the heavy-handed Mexican Miguel Madueno (31-4, 28 KOs) in the lightweight division on April 25, at the Fontainebleau, Las Vegas.
Chaves, a 25-year-old southpaw, has looked impressive so far, earning his chance with Matchroom. His best wins have come against Xolisani Ndongeni and Pablo Vicente. The Argentine uses his feet well and carries plenty of power.
Madueno also carries his fair share of power, with his apt nickname of “Explosivo.” The Mexican has mixed at a higher level, fighting the likes of Keyshawn Davis and Oscar Duarte.
Bakary Samake vs Ermal Hadribeaj
The final fight we’re highlighting is Bakary Samake (19-0, 11 KOs) vs Ermal Hadribeaj (22-0-1, 8 KOs) on the Yoka-Okolie fight card at the Adidas Arena, Paris XVIII, live on DAZN, on April 25. Their showdown will be a WBC super welterweight final eliminator.
Samake has worked his way steadily up the rankings, with his best win coming in his last fight against Alejandro Ortiz, stopping him in the fifth round. The Frenchman uses his jab impressively and picks his punches well. He’s savvy defensively and counters brilliantly. Samake is a great all-around fighter, and it’s going to be fascinating to see how he adapts to better opposition.
Besides an early-career draw and a no-contest in 2022, Hadribeaj has looked impressive. He tends to feel his way through the first few rounds before moving through the gears. A slick mover who picks his punches well, he will present a complex puzzle for Samake, who will look to apply the pressure.
