Ex-WWE Star Dares Triple H and TKO Executives to Go Without Security After WrestleMania Fan Incidents

Stevie Richards is adding fuel to the growing backlash over WrestleMania weekend, as he just dared Triple H and TKO executives to walk around without security.

Following multiple reports of talent frustrations over fan behavior and lack of protection, Richards addressed the situation on his YouTube channel on April 27, 2026, focusing on what he believes is a long-standing issue with how WWE handles security for its performers.

As he broke down the problem, Richards said this isn’t new, but argued that it has become more noticeable now, especially when compared to how other industries handle safety for major names.

“Lack of security—because this is something that was a deal even when I wrestled in WWE—but now with everybody, with the celebrities who obviously have security. I talked about Vince always having some kind of security. I’m sure Triple H has security, and his family and all that stuff, but where they lack, this is where it turns into, ‘Oh, it’s just pro wrestling,’ and it’s not the same thing as celebrities or Hollywood or the NFL. And in WWE, it’s always had something.”

Richards then shifted to what he’s hearing from within the industry, referencing ongoing complaints about cost-cutting and the lack of dedicated, traveling security teams for talent.

“And you have some quotes here in the show notes about certain wrestlers and staff members commenting on this epidemic of being penny-pinching from TKO and WWE—not providing full-time security that travels with everybody to the shows and everything. Full-time staff members that are security—you need a security force to basically protect everybody, get them to their cars, get them to the hotels and all that stuff.”

He also pointed to footage and accounts from the weekend, saying what stood out to him was how reactive the situation appeared, rather than something that had been properly planned in advance.

“Now obviously, the wrestlers and celebrities, to a point, can try to avoid all this stuff and go right to their room. We don’t know whether they were going to the room or checking out Monday morning—we don’t know the actual timing. But nonetheless, we looked and saw no security except for the hotel at the end of the video, I believe. It’s a very reactive situation, it looked like, rather than being proactive and saying, ‘Let’s create this buffer and a perimeter.’”

Stevie Richards then warned that the current approach could lead to serious consequences if nothing changes, suggesting it may take a major incident before action is taken.

“And obviously, you said in the show notes that it’s in a casino—there are so many instances within the weekend that show that hopefully—but it looks like they aren’t going to do anything until something really bad happens to one of these wrestlers, or someone defends themselves from a fan, then something happens to the fan, then you have a lawsuit on your hands.”

He closed with his most direct challenge, calling out Triple H and TKO executives by name and questioning whether they would be willing to deal with the same lack of protection talent experienced.

“But what are you waiting for, WWE and TKO? Hey, Ari Emanuel, Mark Shapiro, Triple H—why don’t you walk around without security and see what happens? All of the major sports do this—they’ve got their own dedicated security teams in-house that travel with them everywhere. I’m sure for WrestleMania, during this time, they better have multi-layered security. You never know who’s going to try something stupid.”

Richards didn’t just complain; he threw down a direct challenge, and with WrestleMania weekend already under the microscope for fan incidents, this is now a situation WWE can’t quietly move past.

Do you think Stevie Richards has a point about WWE needing stronger security, or is this being blown out of proportion? Let us know your thoughts and feedback.
