This past Wednesday night’s episode of AEW Dynamite featured a backstage segment in which Renee Paquette interviewed Chris Jericho. During the segment, Jericho was confronted by The Demand, which consists of Ricochet, Toa Liona, and Bishop Kaun. The group launched an attack on Jericho, beating him down until Ricochet executed a Ricosault off a pallet.
As previously reported, Jericho was not present at Dynamite that Wednesday, as it had been announced ahead of time that he would be in New York City filming a role for the second season of Dexter: Resurrection.
According to Fightful Select, the backstage segment with Jericho was filmed the previous week. Since his return to the company at the start of April, Jericho has been involved in a feud with Ricochet and The Demand, and he has faced multiple defeats against the former AEW National Champion. It remains unclear whether Jericho will return for next week’s AEW Dynamite, which is scheduled to take place in North Charleston, South Carolina.
Next week’s show will be a three-hour episode, with the final hour dedicated to an episode of Collision.
