Eddie Hearn has made his prediction for Saturday’s heavyweight world title fight between Fabio Wardley and Daniel Dubois.
Wardley defends his WBO heavyweight world title against former IBF titlist, Dubois at the Co-op Live Arena in Manchester on Saturday, live on DAZN.
Hearn previously promoted Wardley and has backed the Ipswich favourite to hand ‘Dynamite’ a fourth professional defeat in his first defence of his title.
“I’ve backed against Wardley about the last five times, and he’s proved me wrong the last five times,” Hearn told media on Saturday.
“I don’t even really want to back him, but if you ask me honestly, I believe Wardley will stop Daniel Dubois late in the fight.”
Dubois heads into the bout as the underdog and on the back of a fifth round knockout loss to Oleksandr Usyk last August.
The 28-year-old dropped the IBF belt he won and retained with a fifth round knockout of Anthony Joshua in 2024 to the masterful Ukrainian.
Wardley was elevated to full WBO champion in November after Usyk opted to relinquish the title instead of facing him.

The 31-year-old stopped Joseph Parker in his last outing in October to win the interim championship before being upgraded to full WBO titlist.
The pair have a 95% knockout ratio between them and Wardley insists the bout is not going the distance.
“A lot of action,” he told Pro Boxing Fans.
“All-out action.

“Not one really the judges are required for.
“I think they’re gonna have an easy nights’ work.
“Just tune in. May 9. Fireworks.”

Usyk, who holds the WBC, WBA and IBF crowns, has already revealed his desire to face the winner of Saturday’s showdown.
The 39-year-old will first defend his WBC belt against ex-kickboxing champion, Rico Verhoeven on May 23 in Egypt.
